In March we had the opportunity to visit the Prowein fair in Düsseldorf. This year Emelie joined for the first time and the others of us were Simon, Calle and Emma. We had a very good fair meeting lots of the producers we already work with, but we also met some new contacts that we hope to work with in the future. Prowein keeps growing each year so it’s difficult to meet everyone, but we tried our best with busy schedules.
During the fair we had the chance to attend an extraordinary tasting of one of our producers, Alves de Sousa from Douro. The picture shows the different vintages and vineyards that take part of their special wine Memórias, which is launched only once a decade. Last but not least also enjoyed a typical German dinner with Schnitzel and Altbier at the Uerige restaurant and brewery in the old town.
Simon and Calle look forward to the next fair, which will be Vinitaly next week.
