Today we are very happy to announce that we are launching two new products at Systembolaget: Champagne Pinot Noir Rosé Sec by Lacourte-Godbillon and Plan de Dieu by Domaine des Pasquiers.
Champagne Pinot Noir Rosé Sec (Lacourte-Godbillon)
The champagne house Lacourte-Godbillon was established after World War II in 1947 where the current owner’s grandparents bought their own vineyard to produce and sell Champagne. In the beginning the only produced a few thousand bottles per year. The current owner Géraldine and her husband took over the business in 2006 after having worked in the corporate world for many years. They describe this new experience as a complete revelation! This rosé champagne has a wonderful salmon pink color with an intense scent of red fruits (black current and wild strawberry). The champagne has a rich taste of red fruits as well as a certain sweetness and a fresh and elegant after taste. For more information on this product: click here.
Plan de Dieu (Domaine des Pasquiers)
The vineyard Domaine des Pasquiers was established by the current owner’s grandfather, Paul Lambert. At the beginning Paul focused on agriculture and sheep; the vines were just a complimentary activity. Paul was ahead of his time, and was one of the first to change from horses to tractors and during the 60s he decided to expand the wine production through more tanks and a bigger vineyard in Sablet. As of 2010 the vineyard is organic, and it is now Matthieu who is in charge of the vineyard and his goal is to produce fruity and fresh wines with a long after taste. This organic wine is a full-bodied wine with a distinct scent of red berries and herbs. These scents are carried through to the taste of the wine which has a fruit driven character with a long after taste. The wine is from Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages in the Rhône Valley.
