The first weekend in May, I visited some of the wine producers we work with in Burgundy. The weather was not on our side, rain all the time, but the visits were very enjoyable and the landscape unbelievably green. First out was our dear Bertrand at the Château de Beauregard in Fuisse. They produce delicious Puoilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran and make different Beaujolais Cru in their cellar. Then followed the grand Château Meursault where we were received by Nicolas Laine. We went on the tour of their huge cellar, which partly arose as early as the 1100s. Impressive architecture, fascinating history and excellent wines from different appelations in Burgundy. The evenings were spent in the wine town of Beaune where we also made sure to visit Domaine Debray. Elizabeth received us and I can highly recommend their Saint-Aubin and Vosne-Romanée. Always fun to get to know the producers better, hear more about their philosophy and get a better understanding of their wines.
Sincerely,
Emma
